Jersey City Traffic Safety
We are working to make our roads safe for all users (including pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers) through a variety of studies, projects, and initiatives.

Vision Zero Initiative
Mayor Steven M. Fulop signed an executive order adopting the “Vision Zero” initiative in Jersey City and creating a multi-disciplinary “Vision Zero” Task Force to lead the planning effort in eliminating traffic fatalities. The guiding principle behind “Vision Zero” maintains that deaths and injuries caused by traffic crashes should be treated as a public health problem which can be eliminated through better planning.

Jersey City Pedestrian Enhancement Plan
The Jersey City Pedestrian Enhancement Plan aims to build upon the City’s assets and provide a plan for great urban streets that are comfortable, safe, beautiful and interesting to walk in each of the City’s six wards.

Grand Street Concept Development
Grand Street is a vital transportation corridor connecting diverse and growing neighborhoods. This Concept Development Study is looking at making Grand Street safer and more accessible for pedestrians, cyclists, and all users!

Jersey City Open Data Portal
The mission of Jersey City Open Data Portal is to make Jersey City more transparent by providing access to data and information on our resources, operations, and activities. They strive to provide a platform that supports data-based decision making, promotes public use of data, and strengthens citizen engagement in the democratic process.
